Korea’s Legend Cup Tournament Details & Results

On August 24th, 2013, Pokémon Korea held a special tournament called the Legend Cup at Coex. It was an invite-only tournament that featuring the top Korean finishers in the four International Challenge tournaments (January, March, April, June) in the Masters division. You had to have been in the Top 8 when your scores were combined to have a chance to compete.

The first place finisher received a 3DS XL, Pokémon X or Y, and a trophy. The second place finisher would receive the game and trophy.

The tournament was run as a single elimination tournament. The first round (quarter-finals) was a best of one match. The semi-finals and finals were best of 3. It will be broadcast on JEI TV in Korea in September as well as possibly uploaded to YouTube.

Ji Hoon Park was also the Masters division winner of Nintendo Korea’s tournament on August 11th, 2013 held the same weekend as the World Championships.
